Clean Energy Investments
Understanding and Profiting from the Global Energy Transformation
The clean energy sector has truly taken on a life of its own.
Once a market only discussed in niche environmental groups, clean energy has morphed into a worldwide phenomenon, gaining traction as the best hope to cure our energy woes.
Originally, clean energy had a rigid definition, lending its name only to the purest forms of renewable energy. But clean energy has grown too big for its shell…
It’s now an all-encompassing market that includes:
- renewable energy
- alternative energy
- green energy and
- energy efficiency
Even yet, those broad subcategories don’t do enough justice to all the industries and sectors now thought of as part of clean energy.
Therein lies the impetus for this site.
The Future of Clean Energy
It should be clear to everyone by now that oil’s days are numbered. The emissions generated from oil, coal and natural gas are no longer acceptable.
Emissions has become a dirty word, securing its place as a social taboo and a financial liability. Just look at the Kyoto Protocol or the establishment of numerous carbon market–a place companies can go to purge themselves of some or all of their emissions.
Not only that, but oil production and discovery is in major decline. Even new oil discoveries and unconventional drilling, while encouraged, will do little to add real supply to the mix.
You see, any new oil we produce won’t be enough to offset declines in other fields or rising demand from India and China.
That said, the world is scrambling to deploy as much clean energy as possible to meet our insatiable demand. It’s not a “green thing” or an “environmental thing”–it’s an “energy thing,” and we need it now.
As more and more megawatts of clean energy installed, more and more money is going to be changing hands. Energy is becoming the lifeblood of all economies.
And the switch from traditional sources to new, clean ones, will be the greatest transition of wealth the world has ever seen.
Clean energy is becoming the new fossil fuel. And the wise investors that stake their claim now will be the sheiks of a new energy economy. You should be one of them.
Clean Energy Investments
This is the aim of cleanenergysector.com: to provide you with the insights needed to profit from a complete transition of how we see and use energy.
With that in mind, we’ll be covering news, policy, and investment ideas concerning:
- solar companies
- wind energy companies
- geothermal companies
- biofuels
- wave energy
- carbon credits and trading
- water
- wave energy
- energy transmission
- energy infrastructure
- and much more
As a final note, we do not lump “clean coal” (which doesn’t really exist) or nuclear into these categories.
