Biofuels leaders pick sugarcane over switchgrass, miscanthus, as a more promising feedstock

In Florida, biofuels industry leaders, responding to a Digest poll, said that sugarcane and energy cane is the most promising biofuels grass or cane-based feedstock, in terms of cost and scale. 43 percent identified sugar cane/energy cane as the leading feedstock, while 28 percent opted for miscanthus, 26 percent picked switchgrass, and 2 percent said that Giant King grass was the most promising.
