Biofuels DIgest Index rallies 1.45 percent to 64.93 on Verenium advance

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, rallied 1.45 percent to 64.93 as cellulosic ethanol stocks jumped.  For the day, Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) gained 0.13 percent to $30.03, while BP advanced 2.14 percent to $54.80. Among smaller caps, Verenium (VRNM) gained 6.16 percent to $5.00 on news of a new enzyme. Overall, advances led declines 4 to 1 for the day.
