Biofuels Digest Index jumps 2.03 percent to 69.37 as Pacific Ethanol, Biofuel Energy leap

The Biofuels Digest Index™ (BDI), a basket of public biofuels stocks, jumped 2.03 to 69.37 on strong ethanol gains. For the day, BP jumped 3.15 percent to $61.89, while Biofuel Energy gained 20.76 percent to $4.13. Among smaller caps, Pacific Ethanol (PEIX) gained 58.74 percent to $2.27. Overall, advances led declines 7 to 2 for the day.
